The Real Deal or Fashion Faux Pas

Consigning Women was conceived as an oasis where women can find beautiful previously-owned designer clothing and accessories. We are committed to providing a diverse selection of upscale designer fashions at affordable prices.

Thanks to consigners such as you, we have seen tremendous growth and variety in our offerings, along with a reputation for offering some of the most amazing clothing and handbags available in the region. To help protect the integrity of our merchandise, so you may shop with confidence, we are joining the fight to combat counterfeit fashion. While we make no judgment on your personal choice to own genuine-fake or knock-off items, we must take the position that our stores will not support or promote designer faux items.

To help support our position on promoting a faux-free shopping experience, Consigning Women is requesting:

  • When you bring items for consignment, especially handbags, if you believe the item is a faux, please do not present it to us for consideration.  If we are in doubt as to its authenticity, we will not select it for consignment.
  • For handbags:  If you happen to have the original receipt, invoice or certificate of authenticity, please present it at the time of consignment.
  • Certificates of authenticity have also been known to be forged, so please keep in mind that even if you are able to provide this documentation, if the authenticity of documentation is still in question, we may ask you to consider other means of authenticating your bag.
  • If the item was a gift and you would like to verify the authenticity, we have contracted with an independent service that will verify handbags, at no charge to you.

We welcome your consignments 7 days a week and we will work to continue maximizing your return on consigned items. Thank you for assisting us in the fight to eradicate counterfeit fashion.
