Cleaning Out Your Closet & Curbside Drop-offS

Life lately might feel out of control for many of us. We don’t have clarity on what happens tomorrow. One way that many people combat that sense of “out of control” is to clean things. When we feel out of control, we tend to open cupboards and closets and start to get to work.

The feeling of purging and classifying what things could be better suited for other people is a big step and can almost instantly make us feel more focused and in control. Given the current situation, it can be tough to move forward because while yes, we have organized the closet or the cupboard, the stuff is still in our house.

We’re here to help, well, when you clean out your closet anyway.

At Consigning Women, we are currently accepting spring and summer consignments. Having this information can help you clean out your closet in an hour or less.

When the mood strikes you to clean or organize your closet, start with your spring or summer clothes since you know that is what we are currently accepting.

  1. Remove all of the clothes that represent these seasons out of your closet.
  2. Create three different piles for anything; dated, damaged, or that you don’t love anymore.
  3. Place the pieces of clothing into those specific piles.
  4. If the damage is insignificant and repairable place in a donation pile.
  5. If the item is very dated and something that you know is not a caliber of what Consigning Women is looking for, add to the donation pile.
  6. Whatever is left, please bring it to us on our curbside drop-off day(s) or schedule a porch pick up for us to take a look through.

Curbside Dropoff

On Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12-3 pm, we will be at the store accepting open curbside drop-offs. What this entails is along with your items, please provide your name, email, and phone number so we can contact you and add your details into our system. This is a contact-less drop-off, meaning we will not be interacting with each other. Someone will be in the store and most likely wave at you from inside. Please note that curbside drop-offs will be handled the same way as porch pickups.

  1. Your items will sit in the store in their original bags for three days before we will handle the contents with gloves.
  2. The items will then sit again after we inventory and process to your account. You will receive a follow-up email or phone call to confirm the processed items.
  3. It could still be a few days before you see your items like a new inventory on the website.

If you are unable to bring your items during our curbside drop-off times, we also have porch pickup available outside of Wednesdays and Saturdays.
